How Unthinkable Meals works
A quick guide to the app, the science-ish part, and the limits you should know about.
1. Choose your goal
Pick one goal — lose weight, build endurance, eat healthier, or build muscle. Your choice drives the meal library, calorie target, and the rules the scanner uses to judge food.
2. Tell us a little about you
Enter age, weight, height, sex, activity level, and country/ZIP. Add dietary restrictions or health notes (like high blood pressure or diabetes) and we'll filter meals to avoid triggers while keeping your goal intact.
3. Get a 7-day meal plan
We generate a weekly plan from goal-matched templates, rotate meals so they don't repeat, and include one planned cheat meal. You can swap any meal forward or backward through options that still fit your goal.
4. Scan or search food
Scan a barcode or type a food name. We pull data from Open Food Facts or USDA FoodData Central, then score it against your goal with plain-language reasons. If a product scores poorly, we suggest one or two better alternatives from the same database.
Is this medical advice?
No. Unthinkable Meals is an educational tool, not a doctor or dietitian. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or take medications affected by diet, talk to a qualified professional before changing how you eat.
Where does the nutrition data come from?
Product and food data comes from Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central. These databases can be incomplete or outdated, so always check the actual label before you buy or eat something."
What happens to my data?
Your profile, plan, and check-ins are tied to your account so they sync across devices. We use your email only for account-related communication and do not sell personal data.
